Maybe a cliche...but yes.. it took me four years to get a decent image of a male lion on the Kalahari dunes where all the colours, shapes and lines are working together.

One of our incredible sightings we had in Pilanesberg national Park yesterday.
We found this big guy at approximately 09:50 am on Tshwene Drive as he was highly mobile towards Korwe Drive.
We followed him as he melted through the yellow thatch grass and I told my guests with the speed he is walking, we should get him crossing the road on Korwe Drive pretty soon.
Little did we know what he had in store for us.
While I followed his movements with my binoculars, I noticed he suddenly turned to our direction, sniffed the air, and walked straight towards us!
I noticed a little bush path and thought hey, this guy could be using it...
I dropped the binos and grabbed my camera.
"Guys get your cameras ready, this lion is coming straight towards us."
We waited for around 5 minutes, as he slowly walked towards us, muscle and mane in motion.
A powerful presence.
Suddenly it became very silent in our vehicle...
He was less than 2 meters away from us and stared into our lenses...
"Oh my word..." one of guests whispered.
"Best lion sighting ever!"
He crossed the road in front of us and continued towards Nkwe Loop.
"Would you guys like to see him cross the road again?"
"YES PLEASE!!"
I looked at a reference point where he was moving too, made a U-Turn and went around to Nkwe Loop.
As I reached my reference point, we had visual of him as he walked towards the exact spot where we were standing again!!
Slowly but surely he reached the road, looked into our souls, and continued to cross the road.
He then returned to the road and continued to walk in it for the entire 1,5 km length of Nkwe Loop until he reached Nkakane Link where we let him at peace.
We spent approximately 45 minutes with him and we couldn't be any happier

Just saw this awesome video surfacing in social media.
A lion pride bring down the buffalo, but due to arrival of rival lioness they all began fighting and this gave the buffalo a chance to live another day.

Yes, as Ngala points out, the interaction is between the Matshapiri males, the Eyrefield pride and the lioness that traveled with the males. Great video.
