RE: Lions of Timbavati - Potato - 11-07-2021 The Giraffe pride came through camp last night amidst all the lightning and thunder to kill not one but two giraffes *This image is copyright of its original author . This male is after all the highly nutritious internal organs!! video: https://www.facebook.com/kambakulodge/videos/580949449680605 The face of the male is not visible so it is hard to tell for sure, but it is probably Hercules male. They are hunting down elephants? They must be really good hunteresses. Hope they find dominant male soon. Lot of nomadic coalitions in the area. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tr1x24 - 11-08-2021 Wait, Avocas in southern Thornybush?? RE: Lions of Timbavati - Potato - 11-08-2021 (11-08-2021, 02:59 AM)Mdz123 Wrote: Hope they find dominant male soon. Lot of nomadic coalitions in the areaThe issue for them in that regard is that they are in the arena dominated by Xikukutsu/Mapoza. Their presence in southern Thornybush is nothink new. Like a month ago I was posting here update that they are taking over former BD pride territory. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Brahim - 11-08-2021 Great news Recent sighting of the Guernsey young male (Son of Hoedspruit males) He crossed Kapama's boundary to ThornyBush. He's been missing for 5/6 months. It's great to see him alive! Those are indeed great news as new bloodline will improve genetic diversity, of course if the young male will manage to reproduce. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tr1x24 - 11-08-2021 How did he managed to move from Kapama to Thornybush thru fences?? RE: Lions of Timbavati - Brahim - 11-08-2021 @Tr1x24 Not sure, we tagged our friend guide at Kapama yesterday, he seemed happy this guy was found as him and other guides have been wondering for 6 months where he went, not sure yet if they will try get him back or not. But he just said he got through, so must be some spots that aren’t secure or something. Ebenezer is a senior guide at Kapama RE: Lions of Timbavati - Potato - 11-08-2021 One of the Ross males waking up from a snooze. Notice the lack of canines - definitely not a young lion anymore but still holding on to a rather large territory with his brother. *This image is copyright of its original author

Are they known by another name? Hi DA. Welcome to WildFact forum. Hope you enjoy much as we do. If you ever has a question, don't doubt in ask me. The Timbavati males were born into the Jacaranda pride in 2003/4. These males were dominant in the Northern parts of Timbavati. But they also were dominant in Ingwelala/Umbabat and Ntsiri. These cubs, in fact, are from the Machaton pride and were sired by the Timbavati males.
