RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 10-10-2021 A Timbavati update. Both Mbiri males were on Ngala recently. The smaller-maned Mbiri male was seen in the east of Ngala, and the bigger Mbiri male was a little bit further north east with 12 members of the Skorro pride RE: Lions of Timbavati - Slayerd - 10-10-2021 (10-09-2021, 07:22 PM)Potato Wrote:(10-09-2021, 05:19 PM)lionuk Wrote: One of the Black Dam Males. Pictures taken recently. For me, that's the Torchwood Young Male. I do agree though that this boy, like his father the Girrife male, is a gorgeous lion. I also think Hercules is one of the best looking lions in Kruger. There are a lot of beautiful lions though like the Mosorini male, Red Road, Amahle N'waswitshaka, Mo Vurhami and more to come like Kambula male #6, the Hippo pool male, that one Nsemani male is gorgeous. Plus Lions that were beautiful in their primes like Nhenha and the South Shishangeni male. It comes to personal preferance, all lions are beautiful in their own way, some have pretty faces, then some very unique faces like Tinyo, Scar Mbiri, BYM, WideNose Nwaswitshaka, Skorro Jr, Nchile etc, these guy are beautiful because they are "different" and quite unique. To me, Tinyo is one of the most beautiful lions i have seen, althrough majority of people prob thinks he is "ugly", but i like that "Old Birmingham/Skybed" look like we have in Skorro Jr and Nchile aswell. *This image is copyright of its original author Also if we take in consideration mane aswell, Nsuku was prob one of the most stunning looking males in all of Kruger in his time: *This image is copyright of its original author

If I had to mention a few good looking lions from Timbavati, I'll say without any doubt, the old Sohobele male, Skorokoro, Hercules etc. Of course, this comes from a particular preference mine. I'm a lion enthusiast, and currently working hard to pay a visit to Timbavati soon, very soon... Makhulu, Mr T and HB were also unique looking lions imo and then you have the other unique looking lions like Mazino, Scarnose and Scarface. Lions with unique scars. I would rather assume Birminghams (beside Nsuku of course) were born in very early 2011 and were around 4 and half years old when they challanged Matimbas. Your assumption seems for me possible, but rather a stretched out to assume they were close to 5 years or even already 5 years old when they challanged Matimbas. Difference between late 2010 and very early 2011 might be just few days. Its safe to say that they are born in those 6 months span between September 2010 - February 2011 (Nsuku prob around mid 2010) which would meant that Tinyo is or close to 11 yrs of age (depending of litters). But this is offtopic. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tonpa - 10-10-2021 Spoke to Marius Zeilinga an employee at Pondoro Lodge up in Balule, he mentioned that the Thakazile/Kudyela pride currently has 5 females, 5 sub-adult males and 7 sub-adult males. He mentioned those cubs allegedly sired by the Sark/Masungulo males have disappeared and have not been seen in weeks. RE: Lions of Timbavati - lionuk - 10-11-2021 They were sighted yesterday. They are doing well and the cubs look great, thankfully. *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author
