RE: Lions of Timbavati - Mdz123 - 09-28-2021 It’ll be interesting to see if BYM tries to take over his natal pride and chase out his own cousins/half-siblings, but I doubt it will happen RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tr1x24 - 09-28-2021 (09-28-2021, 05:22 PM)Timbavati Wrote: The Birmingham and Torchwood young males together this morning at Shindzela Tented Camp Brett said in comments that BYM looks to be bigger male, but Torchwood male also looks impressive and bulky. These guys are already starting to behave like dominant males around Shindzela, they roar and scent mark quite a lot. It seems finally Brett get the chance of tell the difference of size between them. Although, size isn't everything as you mentioned, since Torchwood seems to be more dominant of the two RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tr1x24 - 09-28-2021 1 of 2 Xikukutsu males back in Thornybush : Photo Credits : wesley_frohling_photography *This image is copyright of its original author Dont know which female is that, but Monwana pride with Mapoza where close to this area. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Mdz123 - 09-28-2021 Are the Giraffe pride in a buffer zone between the Monwana male and Hercules/Sumatra? Or have they taken over already RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 09-29-2021 (09-28-2021, 09:44 PM)afortich Wrote: BYM is more calm or less dominant maybe because he got really beat-up/injured by the Ross males many times when he was younger. Greetings!! All lions dont have the same character, some are more calm, some more agressive just by the nature, as it is in humans. But as you said, BYM had to be submissive towards Ross males thru years, thats why he was allowed to stay around the pride for so long, something that Torchwood male never experienced, as he didn't have big males to slap him around and put him in place as he grown-up, so that definetly had the impact. BYM kinda reminds me of his half-brother Dark Mane Avoca, big males, but stable in characters. But its too early to judge dynamics between the two, for now it looks like Torchwood male has more expressive character, but that might change as they become more comfortable with each other. Ziggi Hugo said the difference might be a slight height difference. BYM is a very tall lion. It's not like a Nhenha, Tinyo difference or a Zigzag, Shaka difference. It also seems like the Torchwood Young Male is the more aggressive and confident. It seems like he is the one making all the moves and decisions. That's good for the BYM because he was always afraid to go too far away from his pride. He could have joined the Tintswalo or found the Birmingham Breakaway but never did it. The Torchwood Male is giving him a sense of direction and purpose. Who knows if or how many times he met or avoided them RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tr1x24 - 09-29-2021 (09-29-2021, 12:54 AM)Slayerd Wrote: No way to know the Torchwood Young Male didn't have his own share of problems. Im not suprised that Torchwood male has quite expressive character, that boy is full of testosterone, he had quite dark and big mane since he was subadult, him at around/close to 2 yrs of age : *This image is copyright of its original author
RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 09-29-2021 Good point of view guys, quite interesting opinions to be fair... In my personal, The Torchwood male also had a rough nomadic life from a age young. As per I heard, the Torchwood young male has been seen into KNP multiples times Of course, We don't know how many times he was chased by other lions in Kruger, and how many troubles the two Kruger males caused to him. A different kind of scenario with the BYM journey, In the past year, a big part of his life was documented by WildEarth and us. |
