RE: Brown Bears (Info, Pics and Videos) - Tshokwane - 10-29-2017 Credits to Peter Mraz, for the info at least, I don't think the pics are his. The Kamchatka brown bear (Ursus arctos beringianus ), also known as the Far Eastern brown bear, is a subspecies of brown bear native to the Anadyrsky District, the Kamchatka Peninsula, Karaginskiy Island, Kuril Islands, the coastal strip west of the sea of Okhotsk southward to the Stanovoy Range and the Shantar Islands...It is closely related to one clade of brown bears in Alaska, and northwest Nord America, and is thought to be the ancestor of the Kodiak bear. They are very large bears, with body length 2,4 to 3 meters tall on hind lengs, and weight up to 650 kg (1433 lb). ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author

Many people thought that it was a black bear the day that we were watching him. (Just because of his coloring.) What some don't realize is color does not matter on a Grizzly Bear, they can go from blonde to black with many phases of color in-between. As we all know they have many other characteristics such as their hump and their claws that make them stand out. ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author

He liked to hang out near the road South of Flagg Ranch on the hill that burned last summer. A big healthy bear. ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author
