Also saw the Sumatra and Hercules males with 3 lionesses from giraffe pride on a giraffe-kill. Just missed the Avocas when they crossed back into Thornybush and saw Mapoza male down south trying to coss back into Thornybush reserve.

As I said, Hercules and Sumatra are hanging with part of Giraffe pride, while Monwana male with other part, gruop with young male.

Avoca pride - Makanyi Lodge - Timbavati. Lioness with blind eye not dead as reported earlier by other guides from Thornybush. Only 9 members,  so one lioness killed by Monwana pride.Today they were trying to dig a warthog out of his burrow. They did not get him out.

Wonder which member died

RE: Lions of Timbavati - Cunaguaro - 06-29-2021

Stunning and recent shot of King Xitaya “which means Scar”, of the Nharhu males, this prime coalition was originally made up of three males, but sadly one of them has recently fallen due to an unknown disease and the other two remain, the lame and this male, seizing control of some parts of Timbavati and ruling the River pride. They were able to drive away the mighty Mbiri males from their territory, which indicates that they are ready to face any challenge, no matter how strong it may be.

RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 06-30-2021

The death of Mpholo was already confirmed to be Tuberculosis Bovine, his condition deteriorated really quickly and hen sadly one night a clan of hyena killed him! Guys found very few remains but enough skin on his face to ID him. So it all happened completely natural!

Based of the motion of his leg, it looks like some kind of dislocation, which is actually good, because it was speculated that he is limping because of some disease..
