RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 12-06-2020 A stunning shot of the Black dam male! The Giraffe pride lion in Timbavati. The Black dam male moved from Thornybush reserve some time ago and become the dominant male over Giraffe pride. Some cubs did not survive but 6 cubs are doing well. They were resting at a dam after feasting on a wildebeest kill. We saw a total of 12 lion. Image by: Ziggi Hugo June 2019 Timbavati *This image is copyright of its original author
RE: Lions of Timbavati - Potato - 12-07-2020 From 25:18 Sumatra and Hercules males on kill in Tanda Tula and later on chassed off by 3 Nharhu males. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Potato - 12-07-2020 Baobab Ridge guests were treated to a truly special sighting when the beautiful, big-maned lions known as the Sumatra and Hercules males paid us a “royal” visit recently. Their territory is in the neighbouring Timbavati but they regularly explore the Klaserie and on this occasion decided Baobab Ridge was the place to be. Thanks to our friend Douda Aida of Into My Wild Africa for the stunning photo! *This image is copyright of its original author

RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 12-09-2020 An amazing scene witnessed by guests recently when the dry weather drove a couple of lions to try and drink from this hippos pool. Let's just say it didn't go as planned! Desperate times means desperate measures. Photo credit: Michael Anderson Ngala-Timbavati,posted: 11/15/2016 *This image is copyright of its original author

Photo credit: Ryno Vosloo Safari RE: Lions of Timbavati - Potato - 12-11-2020 The oldest remaining female #lion from@the @blackdampride will take over the reigns as the leader of the pride. This role is quite familiar to her, as her impressive size and muscle structure, led to her leading the 4 Blackdam Breakaway #lions, and only joining the actual pride once every few weeks or so. Fathered by the #timbivatimale lion, and born along with 2 sisters about 6 and a half years ago, she is the only remaining female from that litter. Her two daughters, now 3 years old, fathered by the #giraffemale, along with one of their similar aged half sisters, will be responsible for growing the pride. The six young males are venturing further and further away, as nature intends, and are being seen less frequently in the core parts of their maternal pride territory. *This image is copyright of its original author
