Official stuff. It has been posted here already, everybody in the SS was pissed because the Mapogos were wrecking other lions and they wanted to move or shoot some of them, here the important part:
It would appear that the Mapogos are not interested in travelling further north into the Manyaleti … so for the moment the Kahuma cubs are safe, WE just don’t get to see them.
There is little that can be done about these thugs. it has always been policy not to get involved in the natural progression of these things. However, there is now a lot of talk all over the Sands. Some have spoken of moving some of the Mapogos to another reserve or even shooting some of them. Everyone is angry, but decisions like this are highly unlikely and could only be taken by officials at the Kruger National Park, but it certainly shows the emotions these 6 big lions are bringing out.

Steaming Breath! I've always wondered how lions do so much steam in a hot climate like Africa, the same way humans do in winter!

Hello. im kind of new here, I saw the documentary today and it was really sad to see how they lost the battel.
I have 1 question. Is there ANY chance that makulu or pretty boy is still alive?

If I'm not mistaken they still have 5 old daughters. And if their daughters are old, you can imagine that if alive today, Makhulu would be a dinosaur. So no, 0 chances they're alive.

Long before Kinky Tail and Mr. T were known as the Mlowathi coalition, there was another coalition of Mlowathi Males in 2000-2001, initially they were two, always accompanied by a young man, who later became part of the now 3-hour coalition. , and they were called in malamala reports: one with a dark mane, one light maned, the third with a mane still developing. They disappeared without a trace in October 2001, would probably have displaced West Street Males in no time, but their absence gave them another three years in which the future Mapogos could grow up and overcome vulnerable age. Anyone have any news about this unfortunate coalition of 20 years ago, has nothing been known about it?

Does anyone have a report or confirmed information about the clash of the Robson Males ( Stompie & One-Eye ) with the Mlowathi in 2010?

Stompie and 1eye left their natal pride and were now called the Robson males. On September 2006 they tried to take over the Styx pride after killing the pride cubs but failed.
Living as Nomads on the landscape between Sabi sands and Kruger, the Robson boys became great buffalo hunters. Over years they will stay the silent hunters and visitors of rival male areas, especially the Mapogos, but they avoided to confront them.
In mid 2010 they risked one last try to take-over the eastern parts of Sabi Sands. They were beaten and injured by Kinky Tail and Mr. T and they have been expelled into Kruger.
But I can't find any information on that.
