This is the part that hurts. If only he could have reunited with his brother one more time, it even states that Scar Nose looked better there than he did recently. It was the last chance for them to have any sort of coalition chances left, but unfortunately it's the threat for lone, aging males in bad health.

R.I.P. my king. Perhaps we can atleast find solace in having closure unlike Golden Mane who simply vanished..

I think it's a common thing for every animal.

In their case maybe they separated in an effort to get a meal in any way they could, but yes I'd say they walked out on their own will, like a housecat would.

Well, from another thread:

Look at these starving brothers sticking together like glue. That to me does make it a mystery that DM and SN seperated from eachother. It's more understandable that 1 male leaves 2 or more of his brothers to die alone like Hip Scar and possibly GM did, but this is just a strange occurence and I'm sad that we'll never know why they didn't stick together. My theory is starvation affected their intelligence to think(and they were the smartest Lions I've ever heard of)..

As far as I know yes, it is. The place they came from is called Rhino Post Safari Lodge, it's in the Kruger Park to the east of Mala Mala.

Tshokwane do you know wich  pride majingilanes came from?

Tshokowane,

It wasn't hyenas, it was birminghams. It was witnessed and watched. You don't need any further confirmation, it's already been confirmed by a ranger. You can't argue with it. Case closed.

Sure I can, until the any of lodges give a proper report of it as they always do with these cases. It's what i do with everything.

For example, Dulini said in their comments extremely clearly that it was hyenas most likely that got hold of him, even if they didn't eat him.

Just to be clear, I don't have a problem with either of the possibilities, but I do want to be accurate when I give a response to everyone that asks me what happened.

Not really, no.

The one that comes up to my mind is Mazithi, but maybe it's just the name that got stuck on my mind or I saw it said somewhere, but to be honest I don't know.

Tshokwane god, that haunted stare of an old male lion close to  death door. Poor scar nose. We all will miss this incredible lion.
