RE: Zoos, Circuses, Safaris: A Gallery of Captivity - Dark Jaguar - 06-04-2020 Meet Kam Balam and Cocoy. Kam Balam lost one of his paw on altercation with other jags and yet can jump up to 8 feet and is really fast and Cocoy lost her tip of the tail and she's just fine as well. It might have been because of shared ancestry b/w leopard-lion clade and jaguar *This image is copyright of its original author
RE: Zoos, Circuses, Safaris: A Gallery of Captivity - Sanju - 06-16-2020 (06-11-2020, 12:24 AM)Dark Jaguar Wrote: looks similar to tiger fight RE: Zoos, Circuses, Safaris: A Gallery of Captivity - Balam - 06-16-2020 @Sanju jaguars and lions are indeed each other's closer relatives, but I find that the jaguar growl is more similar to that of the tiger: I also feel like the jaguar's morphology is more similar to that of the tiger in that their bodies are stocky and not as tall as the lion. Lions are unique, so are jaguars despite both being closely related. RE: Zoos, Circuses, Safaris: A Gallery of Captivity - Balam - 06-16-2020 I just realized that I posted the wrong video in the Taigan post, it was supposed to be this one: RE: Zoos, Circuses, Safaris: A Gallery of Captivity - Sanju - 06-16-2020 (06-16-2020, 09:24 PM)OncaAtrox Wrote: but I find that the jaguar growl is more similar to that of the tigeryeah ! but i meant for the roar similarity b/w jaguar and lion not growl.
