This still has to be one of my favorite male lions...

The Mapoza male has many different battle scars, but the main one being his right eye.

A really powerful image with lots of different contrasts and textures.

The two Mbiri male lions (current pride males of the Mayambula pride in KNP/Timbavati) the difference of size of the mane between the younger Mbiri and the larger Mbiri male is a bit remarkable here.
This probably show the proof that he is a bit younger than his brother!

The bigger of the two Xikukutsu males  on Thornybush Game Reserve.
Will be this the start of the Monwana pride with a new coalition as pride males? Only time will tell... These guys means bussiness!

"the difference of size of the mane between the younger Mbiri and the larger Mbiri male is a bit remarkable here"

Always was. Larger Mbirri always had overdeveloped for his age mane, while Shaka had underdeveloped mane. Still both were born in late 2013.

December: Stop at 1:11

When Mbiris came to an age in which mane starts growing, mane of larger Mbiri was developing much quicker.
