mithunhphotography-he best part about tracking the Black Panther is his territory edges the core which is not accessible. So most of the other cats here have probably seen very few or have never seen another vehicle in their lifetime. Hence they are extremely secretive and usually bolt before we even see them. Their presence is usually felt through the intense alarm calls of the prey animals which most times indicate the Cat must have been out in the open and we must have missed it by seconds. .
But occasionally we come across sights like this where we are treated to some new faces in the undergrowth. He was a new entrant to this land and was here to challenge the old Baraballe Male. He stayed put around the area for a week roaring continuously to announce his presence. One of the most handsome males I have ever seen.
