There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. These are sensitive images and I'm only posting to bring awareness to this specific jaguar population.
In Suriname there has been a historic trend of jaguar poaching which has debilitated their genetic pool and prey base. Suriname was said to have the largest jaguars from the Amazon biomes with some males reaching 120 kg in weight. Here are some collected canines:
