There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

It almost reminds of Atlas lions, which just goes to show that even within the same population lions can still have a wide range of features. Now, although some populations are much more likely to have certain physical traits than others, it's quite interesting to see them in areas you least expect.

This can also mean that a lot of the captive lions that are said to be Atlas/ Barbary lions may not actually be them, but very likely from other African populations instead. Remember, lions tend to grow much larger manes in temperate or colder areas, so you really have to cancel out a big full mane when it comes to identifying Atlas lions despite the misconception that they're the ones to grow it.
