There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Min ha is a poster on Tigers of Kahna, not "Tigers of Kahna" to my knowledge.

Now back to the actual topic

Well , He was 2nd largest tiger in kanha but because of death of Konda [the biggest tiger in the fight with other male tiger] now Banda is the biggest tiger..The name Banda is due to his tail which is cut when he was a cub.. It was my wish to take picture of this male tiger.& i was behind him for a year. Finaly I managed to take it but due to exietment I took too close pictur & you can see the result......[his tail is not in the frame Sad] When I showed this picture to some of the guides in Kanha guess what they did??????? They performed NAMASKAAR to this !!!!! as if he is God to them........:) I was touched.......:)

Now a response to the claim of being the 2nd largest
It is incorrect to say that this tiger is the biggest tiger in Kanha. You are not taking into consideration the big male tiger in Mukki, the large male tigers in Supkhar and Halon valley. Pl dont forget that out of 12 ranges of Kanha National Park, only 3 ranges are open to tourists. Nice photo though...

http://www.indianaturewatch.net/displayi...04-05-2008 21:16:11Kanha has nearly 100 tigers and it's Core Area itself is about 940 Sq km.Hence it is difficult to say which is the largest tiger. But this boy sure is BIG !!!
