There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

The largest captive Amur tigers are most likely from China, then follow by Europe/Russia. And in the US, there are very little pure breeding Amur tigers.
As for the largest captive lions, I guess it should be the Europe and the US.

I think europe definitely has the largest of both specimens, especially when you look at the old circus performances from europe, those cats always look far superior. I mean it makes total sense, Europe received these big cats first, they probably mass inbred these cats throughout the years and sold them to any and all buyers. Im sure irresponsible practices were used and these "mutt cats" were created.
China as well since they pretty much have a lock on siberian genes there at Harbin and those cats look massive but most strike me as overweight as well.
Edit: Sorry for the quotations, I keep forgetting.
