There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Pour l'heure, ce sont les lions qui nous offrent les plus belles émotions ! On ne compte plus les très jeunes lionceaux de quelques semaines. Les lions mâles aussi sont très nombreux : deux nouveaux, inconnus au bataillon, sont arrivés dans la zone du camp ; les six mâles de la marsh pride ont établis leur quartier à bilashaka ; Lipstick et Blacky sont toujours résidents de Topi plains ;

Celui-ci, papa gâteau, se nomme Lolpapit. La photo fut réalisée ce matin vers 9h30 près d' Olare Orok.

Et je ne vous ai pas encore tout dit...
Le Masai-Mara, comme toujours, tient ses promesses...

I don't speak french and merely understand a few words of it, but from what I can gather, this is Lolparpit and that he and his brother are the new dominant males of the block.

TALEKPRIDE MAASAI MARA:

You can see the pride of Talek with the females and the young cubs and subadult almost every day.. But the two lion males, MARDADI and his brother, sons of BLACKY and LIPSTICK, are rarely showing up. Yesterday late afternoon they came out of the dense bushes, one by one and presented a roaring concert while the females were calling them. After sunset the males joined the family. A really successful lion pride .

Grimace2 and Ron2 chased Yellow in the morning from Lookout area and rested close to Matiracamp the whole day. When you see the face of Grimace2 and Ron2 and compare the appearance with the famous Notchbrothers, Ron and Grimace, the similarity is amazing. The photo of Grimace shows him eight years back in February 2010, Ron in August 2015.

One thing I believe it's silly is that they haven't even tried to give them better names, it shouldn't be that hard.

Dongo. On one of his sorties into Ol Kinyei Conservancy. We saw him together with his brother Caesar II- not in this frame- clearly engaged in what would be armed reconnaissance in military parlance.

Mardadi and his brother are the males of the very successful Talekpride. They don’t appear so often and came out late afternoon. The females were calling in the bushes and they started a roaring concert.
