RE: Lions of Sabi Sands - Dark Jaguar - 03-21-2021 Dozie male, brother of Nkuhuma male Blondie who was killed by the Mapogos in 2007. This photo of Dozie is from 2013. photo: Drizzle Jordaan *This image is copyright of its original author

An he is quite tall, I would be surprised if it was him. I don't think it is the same markr after all. I don't think they share traversing rights with any other location either RE: Lions of Sabi Sands - Tr1x24 - 03-21-2021 (03-21-2021, 02:02 AM)sik94 Wrote: Possibly one of the N'ws? Its not Injured male, on recent pictures he doesnt have that mark on his face: *This image is copyright of its original author A lot of people think its Nkuhuma, but to me just doesn't look like him, neither mane color/size, neither body structure, this male looks too tanky for Nkuhuma.. Also his behavior indicates to me that this is new male to Londolozi area.. Also this is 2nd chase in what 2,3 days? These males might be challenging Bboys.. RE: Lions of Sabi Sands - RookiePundit - 03-21-2021 Well, we mentioned all roaming nomadic males we know of in Sabi Sands except Torchwood Young Male. He might not know the area that well yet (less than Styx-Nkuhuma), the rection towards him could likely be the same as to either of those two from Nhenha, being son of Birminghams as well and hue of the mane kind of fits. But as far as we know he is alone, so any news about two young males being chased would be unrelated to him. I believe there was sighting of him in Umkumbe not that long ago, so Birminghams' part of Londolozi is possible. At the same time he might far from there out of Sabi Sands in Kruger atm, who knows. The other prideless young males we know of would be Othawas and I think we can ruled out those, they are yet to leave the western sector, not really roaming and sticking together tightly so far. The junior partners of 5th Mantimahle which showed up in Mala Mala this year seems highly unlikely as well. Plain Camp male seems more likely given the circumstances though, they only recently re-enter Sabi Sands Wildtuin so they are certainly on the move rather than staying put. Its not Torchwood, as you said he is alone, and he was recently seen back with Torchwood lioness.. More i look at it, im more sure thats not Nkuhuma : *This image is copyright of its original author Look the mark on Nkuhumas tail on left picture, right male does have it.. Also look at mane and face structure : *This image is copyright of its original author Its more likely thats Styx then Nkuhuma.. Also thats too far of to be young Mantimahles.. My bet is that thats Nwaswitshaka male, Orange Eyed male, he and Injured male where seen north around Selati Camp (which is few km of Londolozi) just 2 days ago.. Althrough i might be wrong and its quite odd that they would be invading as only 2, althrough on previous chase they mentioned that the 3rd older male was also there (might be Dominant or Wide Nose, who look older then those 2).. RE: Lions of Sabi Sands - Dreadlocks - 03-21-2021 Styx Male 99% - Styx male injure, wound, cut or something like that right side on body, near elbow.( VIRTUAL SAFARI LONDOLOZI: #50 - 5:00 to 5:15) , same area on this male are something like that. This guy is Londolozi tracker and near future we will see more on Londolozis youtube channel or blog. I don't know what exactly I should see there, but I noticed, that it is actually the very same road! Pause at 6:35 and compare the trees at the bend of the road. The chase video for comparison again, best at around 0:50 https://www.instagram.com/p/CMo_C2qAIab/ RE: Lions of Sabi Sands - Slayerd - 03-21-2021 (03-20-2021, 11:01 PM)Potato Wrote:I would disagree that Nhenha wasn't trying to catch him, it seemed more like he was surveying the situation when the young male stopped to make sure he was alone. A dominant male who starts sprinting is definitely out for blood. If he was just trying to chase him, he would have kept jogging as he it was already working but he definitely sprinted to catch him. Most passive chases are just jogging.(03-20-2021, 10:27 PM)Tr1x24 Wrote: Most of Londolozi guides/rangers didn't see N'ws, James Tyrrell said they only seen them once in property so far.Yea, but the guides from different lodges contact each others and so N'was as dominant in Sabi Sands for quite a while already shouldn't be any problem to idntify right away. I'm unsure of who this young male is, most people including the guides are saying its the Nkuhuma or Styx but they get that wrong quite often. There is a quite a bit of a size difference between Nhenha and this young male though. RE: Lions of Sabi Sands - Tr1x24 - 03-21-2021 Got respond from James Tyrrell, he said he dont know which male is on he video, but that he was chasing Nk/Styx young males.. A dominant male who starts sprinting is definitely out for blood. If he was just trying to chase him, he would have kept jogging as he it was already working but he definitely sprinted to catch him. Most passive chases are just jogging Agree, Nhenha definitely wanted to catch him at the end, he was just making sure young male is alone. Thats tracker said that Nhenha succeed, he chased them for 4-5 km and out of his territory.. RE: Lions of Sabi Sands - Tonpa - 03-21-2021 10 year old lions are in better shape than I thought! |
