There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Saved by DSWT
After a territorial fight, this male lion was looking decidedly worse for wear

Sighted by Mara Triangle Conservancy rangers struggling to move and in deep pain, it was clear emergency veterinary intervention was needed to treat his multiple wounds. Thankfully, with the DSWT/KWS Mara Vet Unit based nearby, they could quickly drive to his aid, anaesthetise him and gently clean and treat the wounds which covered his body. Because of this rapid response, he should recover fully from his injuries and hopefully continue his reign as ‘king of the jungle’ .

Some tourists encountered an angry tigress while she was crossing a path with her cubs. She got irked after being hindered by tourists cabs on her way. However, she attacked none and peacefully crossed the way.
