There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

vijaymraj - The cat’s out of the bag. My recent few visits to Kabini has made me wonder what has changed? The preponderance of a few tigers in safari zones to stay put on the safari roads and walk long stretches, head on to a vehicle,is something which did not happen with the same earlier. All I encountered previously was a quick darting across the road or at best a small saunter for a distance. Now it is a leisure walk sometimes even holding on as if budging us to move on! Thanks to all the mothers in tourism zone who have taught the kids that the safari vehicles will be there and you get on with life. Also thanks to the numerous Staff of KFD and also well behaved tourists. The tiger surely shines bright,as did this young male of Kabini, who walked for well over 2 kms with our vehicle in front.
