So relatively speaking, he is still a youngster, looks like he'll only be growing more bold in the years to come. Between him, Link 7 and KF, you have 3 males that are just hitting their primes, should be interesting in the near future. Khursapar male tiger is very massive just like tiger tank male from nagarhole. Thanks for sharing @Roflcopters

But don't think that Uma isn't a large boy in his own right, especially when discussing his head/neck size. He mocked the kanha breed for 4 years, showing the power of the Pench's Charger's line. And then Uma male showed him the power of Munna's lineage and took him out, a very fitting ending for TS.. Then he fought with kankata in june 2013 but kk also defeated him. 2013 was his last season . but he was surely good looking & huge tiger. Great sighting in a steady drizzle in Kanha.  *This image is copyright of its original author  *This image is copyright of its original author  *This image is copyright of its original author In regards to the fight with Kankatta, we know that Red Eye male or "thin stripe" as he is being called, was double teamed by kankatta and his female...  *This image is copyright of its original author  *This image is copyright of its original author But I spoke with @sahil ak about some tigers and other information, here is what he had to say I asked about bheema's size, kfs size and kahna tigers in general Sahil Ak said: "now days bheema is one of the most dominating tiger in kanha's mukki range. now he is 5 yrs old. he was weighted 260 kg when he was just 2 years. and still he is gaining . he is son of kankata who was also the one of the great tiger kanha ever hd. there are few more male like umarpani male and link 7 male. they both are Munna's littrs one of the biggest dominator of entire kanha.. but from 2 different females.. as compare to all of them , kingfisher is quite below in number. he looks huge by side just becoz of his big bulky belly. still he is suffering to make own territory. some people used to say kingfisher is huge tiger but it not right.. Bheema and Umarpani also had few fights and there was no winner at the end, like i once said. they are fighting to survive and fighting for space, not to kill each other and Kf/Umarpani are the main reason for Thin Stripe vanishing for good. Kf has been around since mid 2014 and towards the end of 2014, he became a dominant force. since then and now. hes still in Mukki, along with Umarpani, Link 7, Bheema and the saga continues.
He said it was reported by the Forest Department, but like you, I suspect the weight claim. Not saying it's not possible but a 2 year old tiger weighing that size is pretty much unheard of.

Forest department tried to get him back in core zone twice but he couldn't survive and found dead in mukki near orai camp. Its never easy being a tiger, both huge & beautiful guys couldn't survive! My Kanha visits have always been special and so has it been this time too. KF was the only Mukki tiger I missed last year, but this time he was the showstopper! This was clicked near Umarjhola lake.  *This image is copyright of its original author Vijayarajan Muthu While all of us are aware of the fact that Male Tigers biting the nape of females during copulation is a common behaviour, here's an interesting insight provided by British Zoologist Dr.Desmond Morris, in his 1990 book "Animalwatching : A Field Guide to Animal behaviour". Please do take a moment to read this. He states : "Many male mammals can be seen to grab their mates by the scruff of the neck when mating. This neck-biting looks aggressive and even brutal, but it is not. In fact, it is a small behavioural trick played by the males on their females, enabling them to mount without too much difficulty. The neck bite acts as a pacifier and immobilizer. To find the reason for this, it is only necessary to look back what happens to young mammals when they are being transported by their mother. She picks them up by the scruff of their necks, holding them firmly but gently in her jaws. Their reaction to this is to lie immobile and to allow themselves to be transported without struggling. This is important if they have to be quickly removed to a safer place. When the adult mammal grabs his female in his jaws, she reacts as if she were his offspring. Programmed in infancy to lie still and not struggle when her mother bites in this manner, she automatically responds in the same way to her mate.
