Imagine if we intervened in each and every creature that gets hurt in the wild. We would never end. And it wouldn't be wild anymore. In his case, it was caused by a natural event, and he's ok, so why intervene?

After a lengthy tracking exercise, the Southern Pride and their cubs were found looking rather thin and in much need of a meal. Well, Marius managed to photograph the Charleston Lion Pride snacking on the morsels from the Talamati kill. One of the Charleston males is instantly recognisable with that dodgy tooth of his! The Charleston males have kept us on the edge of our seats the last couple of drives. Last night they were on the scent of an unknown young male lion that moved through their area and this morning we watched them make three separate attempts on some buffalo. Unfortunately, they had no success, but they were left following the trail of a large buffalo herd so perhaps they will have better luck later on.

The two Charleston males covered some serious ground last night and somewhere along the line they split up to move in separate areas of their territory, possibly in attempts to chase off other lions from the area.
