There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
I think the bond between the talamati brothers must not be strong at all since in all this time they don't seem interested in staying together or in going in search of each other on the contrary they are receptive to strangers and can end up forming different coalitions. I confess that I don't remember two brothers separating and forming coalitions with unknown males on each side.

The Talamati pride has been pretty nomadic recently which has led them to lose each other a few times. There are quite a few nomadic males around right now so it makes sense why separated young males might get separated and end up joining different coalitions. It might not be a bad idea for one to join Mohawk and the other NK, given the experience they have.
Dwizhala used to explore and go patrolling with daddy DM and then khanya got separated when the pride first went nomadic and lived on his own for 6 months. They may have missed the crucial bonding time AND they each are survivors in their own right. Khanya had an excellently executed buffalo calf kill a week or so ago.

Wonder what female?
“ On a cool morning at Sabi Sabi, what better way to spend it than with two beautiful male lions, who appeared out of the mist into an open area. They were busy following a female lion that was ahead of them, and they tried their best to keep up with her. We followed them for a while until they disappeared into the mist again, leaving us behind.”

Since they are together now, following each other I doubt they won't form a coalition, unlike with Tumbela, NK never followed him or vice versa and there were many things going against them teaming up ( enemies, Nhenha still on NK's memory, Ximhungwes available ao they weren't 100% in nomadic mindset, etc ), but here I think they will form a coalition and now are at a phase of bonding.
Only problem I see is that Talamati male likes to hang out with his family but NK will only see them as a pride without dominant males, ready for the taking, so a conflict may take place in this scenario.
The other Talamati is spending much time with Mohawk, it's gonna be very interesting if they bump onto each other in the near future.
Now especially with Kambulas down to 3 again, N might go from a "hopeless" loner to a member of the strongest coalition if at least the second Talamati joins them or even Mohawk too.
Edit: This Talamati looks pretty big, seems clearly bigger than Kambulas to me.
“Under the cover of darkness, the unlikely coalition of the Talamati male accompanied by the Nkuhuma male were once again found together. These two large male lions sat in darkness, keeping a close eye on a herd of buffalo close by. Will they remain together? Only time will tell...

Tbh I would bet that dark maned Talamati males is among the largest male lions in Sabi Sands at the moment. I am curious how does he look in comparison with Nkuchuma male exactly and with that how he would compare to Nhenha (that is if he is bigger than Nkuchuma then how difference between him and Nkuchuma would compare to difference in size between Nhenha and Nkuchuma). Personally I would bet this Talamati male is fairly same size as Nhenha was.
