There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

That's interesting, because I just watched a video 7 days ago titled" How much longer can Silver Eye Talamati Survive" indicating that she was taking her last breath.  Click bait, I guess.  It worked (on me anyway)

I saw the video too, the way the is presented is like she was about to die or dead already. Since I didn't see any other video with similar content, I decided to believe that Silver Eye was still alive.

As @Tr1x24 mentioned and in @EverseenSA 's defense she had been looking pretty rough for a while and was exhibiting unusual behavior.  But that's proof of how resilient lions are and how we never know what's actually going to happen.  Hairy Belly's demise was predicted many times and then a video popped up of him riding a buffalo's back.  Tinyo was written off as near death a few times as well, but he always bounced back (until he disappeared).  Styx Young Male was barely nicked, but somehow died.  Big Boy Mangheni died despite seeming healthy.  Silver Eye might die tomorrow, or she might live until next year.  Just about anything can happen in the wild.

They're live on Wild Earth right now, I believe Silver Eye is with them. I'm getting my son ready for school so listening rather than watching and Tessa just mentioned 'here comes the older female now'. She's also just said the whole Talamati pride is present at last so if you can tune in, you'd be able to get a view of all of them and judge condition.

( This post was last modified: 06-08-2022, 11:37 AM by Wyld@Heart Edit Reason: Clarification )

Pretty sure I have just seen her. They were shooting into the light before they repositioned so wasn't the clearest of view. She is old, no doubt, but not anywhere close to kicking it imo. Lions are resilient creatures, they can look at Deaths door one day and a couple meals later its hard to believe it's the same animal.

Dark Mane is absent, but young males with them as well. Growing mighty impressively. This group of lions are survivors, not too long ago their future looked bleak but they've moved as nomads, avoided other prides, other males and thrived. They're all looking in good condition relative to age. With the three that split having cubs (?) I don't see a reunion between them happening now but I do think they will settle and establish around Northern Sabi Sands now. They've been in the area for a while now and they're mostly young and strong. They will be a force as a pride and a prize for any coalition

They haven't done a close up on her while I've been watching.  Their backs are mostly facing the camera, not including the ones hiding in the grass.  If she's one of the ones resting on the bank, then she's just fine.  I agree that the ones we can see all look to be in good condition.  Talamatis and Dark Mane have done a great job raising this round of subs.

Warning: there is some weird clicking noise in the beginning of the video, but it stops after a few minutes.
I like this guide.  Her commentary was very knowledgeable and she has a pleasant voice.

I don’t believe Mohawk sired these males.  I’m almost certain he was lowest on the hierarchy and both DM and Blondie mated the most.

For my eye both young Talamati males look similar to DM Avoca.

I think that without a DNA test its nearly impossible to tell.
We are already lucky to be able to tell the potential fathers apart.

Ok, got it.
Is the same true with nkuhuma subadults?
So all ( or atleast maximum) the nkuhuma subadults are blondie sons. Because I think dark mane never been with nkuhuma pride.
