Do Crocs tend to weigh more in captivity or no?

Yes they tend to weight more in captivity but very few grow as large as the wild ones the heavier and larger are the wild ones.

Great, then regardless of Captive or Wild, this comparison seems fair.
Thanks again

I've seen these pictures before and have a few doubts about the story, meaning it could be a cocktail of crap. You might have been framed, Bornean Tiger. If so, the post has to be removed.

I'll ask Shadow to find out a bit.

When looking at photos in that link, it includes photos from different bears. Also that photo, where bear is hanging in front of that truck is made to make that bear look as massive as possible. There were some news claiming, that that bear would have been over a ton (kg, exaggeration obviously) if I don´t remember wrong. I once tried to find out more information about that bear in front of truck but all articles about it, were more or less nonsense.

Of course there might have been some incident, where bear has mauled hikers, it can happen. Also there are big bears, no problem in it. But that link has photos from at least two and most probably of three different bears.

"We've all seen the email forwards with pictures and tall tales about the next world record elk or a charging man-eating bear that was shot at 10 paces. Many of these stories seem to grow like a game of telephone, with each person adding their two cents. Just such a story involves my buddy Luke Randall (left in this photo), and he set the record straight during a recent trip to Afognak Wilderness Lodge. The story that was making the rounds on the Internet told of a huge, livestock-killing grizzly taken in Alberta. In fact, Outdoor Life had posted the photos and the supposed story a while back. The only problem was that this bear didn't come from Alberta, but instead--as a couple of commenters accurately pointed out--from Afognak Island, Alaska, and my buddies Luke and his brother Josh had guided the hunter. So, to put all the rumors to rest, here is the true story straight from Jesse Wallace, the hunter who actually took this amazing brown bear."

"By pulling a tooth, Alaska Fish and Game aged the bear at 18 years old. His hide squared out at an impressive 9 feet 11 inches, and in his prime he was probably bigger," says Jesse. The bear's skull scored 29 5/16 inches SCI, and tied for number 20 in the record book at that time. The bear's most impressive feature was his intimidating set of claws. They measured between 5 and 7 inches long and were the longest claws that anyone at the Fish and Game office in Kodiak had ever seen on a brown bear."
