There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Africa Safaris:
Found Red and tatu with one of the young lioness but not chemi chemi. they have circled back near to bila shaka in the thicket.. a little risky for them especially since blackie and lipstick are around.

These two sub-adults are sons of the Musketeer males.

What is being talked here is that the 4KM Males, Lipstick and Blackie, are in the territory of this pride, now mating with some of the females. So, the cubs of the pride are in danger and, if caught, these subadults could easily be killed by the 4KM Males. I've read the 4 Musketeers are not far, but as of now they still have to take care of the threat the 4KM Males present.

Governors Camp Collection:
The Marsh Pride breakaways were seen this morning having just killed a young warthog on Topi Plains. This meal was nowhere near large enough so the rest of the pride set about trying to dig out another warthog. This was to no avail and Blackie claimed the prize for himself with the cubs waiting hopefully for any scraps but careful not to push their luck. Three Hyenas appeared almost instantly but the Sight of Blackie and the small kill meant they kept their distance.

Lipstick and Madomo were seen with the rest of the pride although Lipstick was intent in not letting Madomo too near Blackie and was shadowing her movements.

The Marsh Pride of Lions:
We had a wonderful Lion sighting this morning with the Breakaways on Topi Plains as they were on the move towards Rhino ridge. Lipstick was leading his troops with Madomo mostly sticking close by him followed by the other Lioness’s and the cubs. Blackie was also with the rest of the pride however his sore hind leg was hindering him and he couldn’t quite keep up so lagged behind.

Star

Red and Tatu, sons of the Musketeer males. They will soon have to leave their natal pride, because they're old enough now and wheter it's their fathers, the females of the pride or rival males, they will soon be chase off.

When the lioness fiercely objected, he decided enough is enough and retailed. It was exciting in the end.

The lioness is in the air and the male seems like a sculpture made by someone interested in muscles. If we add they was interacting on top of that, we can only get to 'great photograph'.

Big cats kill with their teeth. True. But in order to use them, you need muscles. The power of big cats often is underestimated.
