About Lupe
''Lupe (in the first photo), is a young female and daughter of Pepper with Rivo (who died in November 2019). We monitored Lupe for 9 months in 2019 and since last year she has been wearing a reflective collar. Although she is not one of the targets of this campaign, due to the last capture being more than a year ago, we chose to sedate her to renew the reflective tapes and, mainly, to assess her health. In her first capture, like her parents, she was diagnosed with sarcoptic mange. Today, increasingly beautiful, her apparent health is great. We left her recovering in the shade and ran to the next wolf.''

About Picco
''Picco (on the second photo) was waiting for us sleeping in the neighboring farm. The last time we captured him was in January 2020 and he is one of the animals that we needed to capture for removal of the necklace with dead battery. However, we saw that we were a little late. The drop-off of his collar (a pre-programmed device with a timer that detaches the collar from the animal's neck) was activated and Picco male no longer had the collar on his neck. The limit was precisely this week and now it is like looking for a needle in a 15 km2 haystack, his territory. Following the same criteria that we had for Lupe, he was sedated to receive the collar with reflective tape and to monitor his health. At his annual check-up, in principle everything is in order with Picco, but we are still waiting to hear back from the laboratory. Despite not being able to recover the equipment, this encounter was very important. We will now search for the necklace using the necklace's VHF transmitter, and you will follow this treasure hunt in the future.''
