There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

There was that sighting?

They moved so far, im affraid we will lost track of them, they have similar rout as Talamati/Southern males, then we lost track of them.. Also they are in territory of 4 Phabeni males..

They are still 1.5-2 years away to pot start challenging for territory, thats a long time trying to avoid other males/prides and try to survive..

Hoping for the best..

And Phabeni area isn't good as it has high poaching activity, which is a concern. Also, it makes it almost impossible for Gingerella to return home. Hopefully they will move away from that area soon.

Yes, it's true, unfortunately. Phabeni Gate - Numbi Gate/Pretoriuskop - Shitlhave Dam - Nyamundwa Dam areas. For example, 2 Shabeni lions were found dead between Phabeni Gate and Numbia Gate due to poaching in 2018. So far this year 5 poachers were arrested for poaching activity in those areas.
