Any updates on xikukutsu males?
WWhere are they?They turned to 6 last December.
They were controlling the black dam pride few months ago. How's they doing now? Do they sire any cubs?

They are probably in Sandriham property (from where there are no updates) with Black Dam pride.
Anyupdates on young skorro male? He is the eldest son of our favorite junior nkuhuma and probably eldest grandson of legendary MATIMBAS.
He is 4 yrs and a few months old.
Though senior mbiri ( 2011) was a year older than junior nkuhuma( 2012), but his son in nsemani prides are few months younger than young skorro.
This handsome young male was born in late 2017 in skorro pride. He along with his brother, mother/ aunt and 3 sisters leaves the pride when his uncles ( older mbiri) acquire the pride in 2020. His brotherwas lost in early 2021 and all girls rejoin the core pride in mid 2021.
This young male was last seen in November 2021.

No you're only talking about paternal grandsons but there could be maternal grandsons like the Torchwood Male might be a Matimba grandson, 2 of the Tintswalo Males might be Matimba grandsons as well.

I do not think the surviving Skorro YM from the Orpen is Jiniors son. I believe him to be son of Buddy. Juniors son was the younger YM that was in the breakaway with him but disappeared around April last year.
Many wonderful sightings of the mighty River pride were joined by two, much rarer sightings of the smaller and lesser-know Western pride during December. With dominant males Hosi and Socha at their side, the River pride has confidently maintained their territory along the Klaserie River throughout 2021. However, as the pride has undergone a relentless expansion over the last two years, we have paid witness to the bittersweet departure of the eldest three male ‘cubs’, now around 2.5 years. Sightings of the main pride - currently standing at between 18 and 22 individuals - are down from a high of 28 but still an impressive sight to see! As well as the cubs’ departure, a few adult females have also been spotted adrift from the main pride - at times with some of the sub-adults in tow - suggesting they are either preparing their own youngsters for an impending nomadic life, or perhaps they are looking for a secluded space to welcome the next generation. The boys have been actively mating in recent months and we are hopeful of some more little ones soon. Like a tactical game of chess, the magnificent River pride keeps us enthralled and on the edge of our seats as we wait to see what moves will be made to continue the genetic dynasty of these famous felines.
Four days ago, this boy and his brother, eventually managed to link up with their 4 brothers in their maternal territory in the southern parts of the reserve. Since then the 6 have been roaming together, and for the first time in months, ventured deep into the Northern parts of the reserve where they made and fed on a kill for 2 days.
Whether they remain in the reserve, or venture into the neighbouring Timbivati Nature Reserve, the fact remains that few who come up against these six will walk away the victors.
Interesting times ahead for the Monwana Pride and the lone Mapoza Male.

Can he hold on for long if challenged? That is the question on my mind, now that the 6 Blackdam Male #lions have reunited. Are they going to stay together? Are they going to remain in the reserve here at @royalmalewane, are they going to try and establish their own territory and claim the Monwana Pride as their own? The future looks to be full of change here.

Out of curiosity, why the Timbavati in particular?

I do not see such large satisfy with one nor even two prides (not for long at least). I see them easly cover around 3 prides at once. If they would start takeover from the northern Thornybush they could build around territorys of Monwana, Giraffe, Avoca and Birmingham breakaway prides. If they would takeover some pride in Timbavati then possibly there would be even more white lions around.
