Is he the son of the Hercules and Sumatra males?

No, he is the last remaining son of Orpen males apart from the one in Mbiri pride

Ah, thank you for that!

Stay safe, young males

These are the two young Black dam males. The two who were seen in the Manyeleti and Sabi Sands a couple of months ago
Monwana and Guernsey are still around Thornybush.

Part 2 Kruger National Park, Orpen,25 July 2022, 09h45
While waiting for the lions to mate, we spotted the white female lioness approaching the mating lions. She came to rest close to the vehicles watching the area where the male lion was. She got up once and sniffed the area and quickly ran away. A few minutes later she presented herself to the male and was met with aggression, he was in no mood for interruptions.

UPDATE: This morning the 5 young Birmingham breakaway males were seen on Umlani, in the heart of the Mayambula prides territory. This with the added pressure of the two young Black Dam males in the area means we are in for some interesting times ahead. Will be interesting to see how the Skorro males handle the threat.

Yea, looks like there is big "miss ID" by Timbavati rangers, those males "challenging" Skorro's are not Guernsy/young Monwana, yet 2 BDM brothers.

Now, these boys are real deal, they are 5 or close to 5 yrs old, definitely capable of fighting big males.

Let's see what happens. Skorro males probably are bigger than these two, and experience play an important role here. Therefore will be interesting see the development of all this

What a beast!
A fantastic sighting from last month of the bigger Mbiri male. He was seen mating with a lioness when the white Birmingham lioness approached and he chased her off! Amazing!
