Gingerella would likely have followed him if he did head back. Even if it was just for a while before realizing he was straying away from the western sector and not just seeking new prey to hunt.
Nor have there been any reports of him being alone either.

We dont know that, Gingerella and him sneak into western sector thru whole Sabi Sands and where not spotted, the same way he might go back south into Kruger after he got rejected/chased by Othawas/Tumbelas and search his brothers. Its too early to pronounce him dead..

Theres no reason for Gingerella to follow him, she is a female, she returned back in her natal area to settle down.

Females usually dont move far away from their natal area when they break up, just choose any example you want and you will see, usually its neigbouring area..

If Othawas dont accept her back, i think she will have similar fate to Nwaswitshakas sister, she also went with her brothers and never returned /get accepted back, now she hangs in neigbouring area, just northeast of her natal pride.

When they went to western sector. It was with intent as gingerella just wanted to go home. After leaving he would have no reason to make a Bline straight to kruger. Its afteral extremely unlikely the rest are still there where he left them. He would have wandered around like any nomadic lion does.

Lions also cant talk. So Gingerella would not have realized he was leaving at first and followed him for a while before heading back.

And its been weeks since his last sightings. So the signs just don't look good in my opinion. It sadly wouldnt be abnormal for solitary young males like him to perish. He is at that age where he either has to tough up or go belly up.

Well, the young Othawa may have just ended up with Gingerella randomly after the 4 broke up in an incident. Then he did what seemed obvious, followed the only other sibling left and a food source as well. Once they moved back into western sector, Gingerella might have been more sedentary or at least not looking, while he might have an urge to move on and either wonder off or keep looking for his brothers, once he realized he won't find them back there in natal area. Or possibly he and Gingerella might get separated by chance and likely continued out of western sector anyway. Or he might be lying low possibly licking wounds. As he was more or less fed by Gingerella up to this point, we don't know for sure how good hunter he is, but he can probably feed himself one way or another (enough to survive in any condition), so I would not write him off that quickly. He is just missing. And it may stay like that forever, if he sneaked out into Kruger.

Turns out the Ximhungwe lioness hanging out with Gingerella was the mother, not the young sub.

It was strange how her mother wouldn't find her for 1 month if she was in the area , i guess sub is definitely gone..

Was Ximhungwe and Gingerella together before or after Ximhungwe was seen in Simbambili?

What?? Who they killed? Theres no reason for them to kill 1 of the 4 older females, because they are in estrus pretty much (2 females where already seen with them, Ridge Nose and i assume Ambe Eyes, as they first gave birth to Avocas offspring) , it was prob female who defended subadults (Pourple Eyes is seen with subadults often) or cubs (3 younger females) .. Or maybe they killed a subadult.

Everyone is into Avocas are overtaking Bboys (which is stale atm) , but Plains Camps are becoming real problem in their back yard it looks like and Avocas need to respond to that..
