MalaMala is behind on their monthly reports, but July just came out

https://malamala.com/game-reports

Random stuff of interest

Nkuhuma pride
On the 4th , four lionesses were at the Old Borehole. On the 4th, 5th and 7th , one of the sub-adult males was moving slowly in the northern parts of Eyrefield with what appeared to be a broken leg. Unfortunately, this injury proved to be a fatal one.

BBoy - Avoca boundary
Therefore, for the time being, West Street is, in all likelihood, now the northern boundary for the Gowrie males and the southern limits of the Northern Avoca males.

PC males & Bboy
The two PLAINS CAMP MALES were on the Airstrip on the 26th, Old Airstrip on the 27th , and on the 31st , they had a buffalo kill northeast of the bridge. A Gowrie male joined them, and the males took it in turns feeding while maintaining a safe distance

Sharing a meal with the PC males? Seems kinda odd, maybe the guides confused them for the Kambula youngsters. Nhenha chased them in August out of Londolozi, I doubt they'd be so kind as to share a meal with them in their own territory a few days before. It could have been Tinyo when he was still in rough condition

It could be, because it would be strange that the BBoys would have eaten with the PC if that had happened the BBoys would have chased them, they could even have attacked the PC.

"There were originally four lions that made up the Othawa breakaways - one older male born in 2018 and believed to be fathered by the Majingilane coalition, and another three - littermates, one female and two males - born in 2019, and fathered by the Matimba coalition.

They dispersed into the southern area of the reserve in around June this year and were later seen in July on an adjacent reserve.

They have possibly encountered other lions since we've sighted them, and this might be the reason we've only seen two of the group (pictured), one male and one female from the same litter. "

According to the photographer, the picture was taken in Nkorko. So have the Plains Camp males moved away far from Londolozi?

They are not settled in Londolozi, they are roaming majority of Sabi Sands, always seen in different area (except south, prob because of 4 Nwaswitshakas), so no suprise.

This photo is by cole Johnston right? He mentioned it's 5 weeks old. Nkorho also has traverse across the north so this picture could've been taken in Elephant Plains

The dominant Tumbela male in his prime
caption by the photographer: Another shot of this Magnificent Tumbela male who had been mating with the Othawa females. By the looks of him the Othawa pride is going to sire some beautiful lions.

Throwback to a younger, lovely, Torchwood Lioness, Smudge Nose.  Posted in 2018.  Daughter of the boss Hairy Belly Matimba.  A whole generation has passed in just a few years!

She's a good looking lioness. I'm still fairly curious with the age of this lioness. Here the pigmentation of his nose is still pink, Which makes me believed she isn't too old, around 7 or 8 as much, I guess; But apparently, from what I heard, she isn't daughter of the Matimba males. Hope someday I can clear that doubt.
