PCM would probably chase the subs off but without the intent to kill, just like how Tumbela with Ximgungwes chased the Othawas once.

@KM600 Tsalala never chased the NK Breakaways, they are the ones to have stolen her kill before.

Even the Ximgungwes can barely chase the Breakaways currently.

Yea, NK Breakaways will be problem for every pride in Western sector soon, that young male is getting big and when he matures more and get more confident, with support of his sister, can easily manhandle 2-3 lionesses.

But i assume that PCMs will start to chase him out more agressively as he grows.

In perfect scenario, he joins FE Styx and his sister joins K12.

He have that limp since he got separated from his brother.

The SBDM in Sabi Sands have gotten the limp from the Ndzengha Males or Plains Camp Males months ago and maybe that is why the SBDM that goes back to Thornybush leave Sabi Sands because he cannot find his brother even the guides cannot find him in weeks or maybe a month of searching. Both brother have gotten injured and been separated from that fight with the Ndzengha or PCM.

There is even a sighting when the SBDM in Sabi Sands is found he was being dominated by Khanya Talamati and the SBDM is being submissive.

He did have the limp for months and he is better compared to last time, hopefully it's not a permanent injury.

I remember all this but didn't realize until now that SBDM never fully recovered from that limping. Thank you!!

Ok so he never fully recovered. Thanks!

My perfect world is Tsalala, Sister, Othawas and K12 all get together and NK Breakaway boy and Floppy Ear join up to protect them.  But, that's just not how it all works.

K12 and NK Breakaways are too far from each other, unless the PCM's decide to reclaim their territory and do what they need to do.

Kruger Male and S.Avoca were seen in the west
PCM were supposedly in a fight against two males
Kruger male is seen without S.Avoca in the north with a few wounds on his back leg
S.Avoca hasnt been seen since
hm...interesting lets see what the future holds

About sums up my understanding of the situation. The PCMs being in a fight with two unknown males, then S Avoca suddenly MIA is what lead @T_Ferguson, and I, to both ponder what could have be the cause of his recent disappearance.

The fight the PCmales were supposedly in was the attack on the Tsalala pride. We now know that the Tsalala lioness fought off the Ridgenose group on her own and the PCmales were never involved.
So there is no longer any reason to believe a fight between the PCmales and the southern Avoca happened.

No clue why the Avoca and Kruger male split up though, or whatever became of the southern Avoca. When was the last time he was seen anyway?

@MrLoesoe that pride in Djuma I think it could actually be Nharus to be honest, seems unusual for them to venture so far out of their territory but that male does look to be the Red Road son with the droopy jaw, very similar appearance and mane development etc.

@Ttimemarti @Guillermo94 in reference to your discussion about the Black Dam Males and brothers becoming separated due to injury etc I always recall the example of Sizanani and his brother, who he never abandoned and protected him, provided him with meals and stayed by his side despite his brothers condition deteriorating. This caring behaviour I believe is what endeared Sizanani to many lion followers and eventually he formed a bond with Skorro to form the Thanda Impi coalition and the rest as they say is history! Unfortunately Sizanani himself suffered with disease and injuries later on which led to his eventual demise but I’ll never forget the loyalty he showed towards his brother back then.

I've spoken to a couple of sources re: Tsalala losing her cub, and I just want to reiterate - no one witnessed what happened, so they don't know who was involved. EVERYTHING out there right now is speculation, and while it is reasonable to suggest the involvement of the NK Breakaways because of their presence in the area, I don't think we should behave as if their involvement was definitive. Tsalala losing one cub is really upsetting, but she's done a really good job to raise 3 cubs to the age they are right now, so I'm really rooting for her to succeed.

Now that Kruger male's minor injuries were there before the clash with Kambulas, chances that S.Avoca and him met the PCM increases.

Indeed. All we can do is speculate on the snippets of information we do have and the information we are receiving is surprising poor and contradicting this time.
Now a week has passed so unless Londolozi is keeping silent to post a blog or something later. I doubt we will get more. The information we do get however, for what it is worth, points to the Ridgenose group at the moment.

Ultimately one cub is gone and like lots of disappearances in the wild we will likely never get a definitive answer why.

I think NK Breakaways could have attacked Tsalala and PCM attacked S.Avoca & Kruger male at the same time.

These events may not be connected necessarily, both things might have happened.
