There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Beautiful interaction between a sleepy Pride Male Lion and his offspring.
This is The Hamiltons Pride.
The Pride male is one of the two N'waswitsontso Pride Males that took over the Hamiltons Pride around the end of 2020.
A full video featuring the Pride (A Day With The Hamiltons Lion Pride) will follow soon.

The Hamiltons Lion Pride has finally regrouped after the takeover by the two N'waswitsontso Males.
The Pride is regularly spotted with between fourteen to twenty-one individuals.
Four of the females have cubs, which range in age and size from a couple of months to just under a year.
The N'waswitsontso Males took over the Hamiltons pride towards the end of 2020.
ALSO notice the one Cub who is blind in his left eye!
The Black Sheep in the Pride?
Will he survive to adulthood and become a Legend?
Lets wait and see.

LIONS OF THE MLUWATI CONCESSION
The Hamiltons Pride:
This pride is currently made up of four adult females with five youngsters of various ages. They have been spending most of their time directly around Hamiltons Tented Camp as they take advantage of the abundance of prey species that are currently reliant on the last bit of water left in the N’waswitsontso River in front of the Camp.

Blondie and Madala have been spotted moving all around the Concession, which is quite interesting considering the fact that they have rarely ever left the area around Hamiltons over the last few years. In fact, at the moment, the lions of the Concession are one of the most complicated species to understand given their highly unpredictable movements around the Concession.
The Talamati Breakaway Pride:
The Talamati Breakaway Pride managed to pull down a buffalo in front of Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge—only for it be taken by none other than Blondie and Madala!

The Imbali Pride:
The Imbali Pride has been moving between Djuma in the Sabi Sand Wildtuin and Predator Plains on the Concession. It has been wonderful to see them again, given their prolonged absence from the Concession as they continue to follow the S8 Male. The young males of the Pride are starting to look quite impressive! The S8 Male seems to have taken up permanent residence at Djuma and no longer comes onto the Concession.

Skybed Males:
One of the famous Skybed Males from the Shumangwenini area was found crossing over the plains close to Hoyo Hoyo. It appears that there is about to be a shift in the lion dynamics again! Hopefully, by the time we share our November Newsletter, we will be able to supply some exciting information on this.

I don't think RRM is going to last. He barely got out of the last scrap.

The way I see it, RRM had some injuries, but so did the TBoys, and RRM looked like he went after their faces.  That takes some courage.  They seemed to have only bit him on his back legs and avoided his front and teeth altogether. I didn't see one scratch there.
So, I thought he came out looking pretty good after fighting two young males alone.

Nah dude, he was beaten up pretty badly, so badly that even his pride females and those little cubs were mad at him. Lol. And the tintswalo boys were relatively well without any major limp and even roared the next few days in that area.

Really nice video - you can start to see the sexual dimorphism between the Nharu cubs now, they have some emerging mane hairs and stand a bit taller then the female cubs
