A small story of male lion killing a full grown crocodile who tried to steal his meal by photographer Treepol
Ruaha National Park - July 2008. Around 3 pm in the afternoon.

A male lion kill a buffalo from the herd.

*This image is copyright of its original author

On next day, when photographer reached he saw most portion of buffalo was eaten, since the pride was about 29 lions so the pride must have helped this big lion in finishing the buffalo kill

Here comes the most amazing moment, On day 3, photographer saw a freshly killed crocodile that had scented the kill and attempted to obtain a free lunch

On day 4 nothing left, you can see some Jackals snatching some left pieces. male lion was gone

Foolish croc, definitely doesn't look large enough to battle a male lion for a kill. Probably to young to understand and learned the hard way.

That image of the Elephant and Lion looks photoshopped, but it's a great image.
Any info on it?

See this incredible video of Lion attacked by Crocodile.
Amazing video of a young male lion crossing the sabie river when a crocodile suddenly decides to attack!
Taken on the H10 bridge near Lower Sabie in the Kruger National Park in South Africa.

I always like that video.

I have seen 50+ crocs feeding on a Hippo carcass all scatter to the water the minute they heard a lions roar. Turned out to be a lone male. But I have also seen crocs come far onto land to fight and feed off a lion prides kill.

They seem to have much distain for eachother.
