A report eerily similar to the events described in the last londolozi blog.

A single young lioness approaching the. Other w an Nzenga male present and not hostile.

I’m going to just think out loud here…..but this is now twice where we are told of only one sub adult present with her mother.

We had been told there were three deaths of lions. Two in mm and one in Umkumbe.

We have only been able to ID two lionesses. K4 (by elimination) and one of the Daughters.

Could the third female be 1/2 Kambula breakaway daughters? The second sub? I’m becoming nervous in believing that may be the case. Unless we see the two together again soon.

Most likely yes.

Was K4 breakaway lioness?

This is K3 on picture?

K4 was the lioness that had the litter of 5 boys…..she was part of the Core. has not been seen since these reports began.

The second Kambula Breakaway lioness was K2.  Who just recently had her cubs.

Yes, this is K3 and mother of the 2 Kambula Breakaway Subs.

Yes, this is K3 and mother of the 2 Kambula Breakaway Subs.

Tough position for remaining sub, even if she doesnt get killed by Ndhzengas or Kambulas, her mother will be denning soon, leaving her alone.

Was K2 accepted back ?

Not sure what happened to K4 female.

Younger female who died was prob "ill" lioness which reports said.

Missing breakaway sub was prob killed by either Ndhzengas, Kambulas or even Gijima, who where at Umkumbe with her mother at that time when reports of dead lioness at Umkumbe start

Quite interesting interaction, wonder if that agressive female is K6. Female who confronts her looks to be one of the younger ones.

Why all the lions like the Western Sector so much?

Anyway this is alarming for several reasons.

First, it's dangerous for them. Second it's dangerous for other lions there. Third where's the third male? And fourth if they are so deep west it'll be impossible for the injured male to find them.

I've reached out asking about him. Waiting to hear anything back right now.

The PCmales only use the area as their peripheral territory and as a result visit or scentmark etc there a lot less. Which allows weaker nomadic lions a bit more breathing space.
So most likely those youngsters are just there to avoid traveling through the PCmales core territory. Which would be a lot more hazardous.

How Nym and Skorro will react to them is anyone's guess. Most likely they will just avoid each other. Neither seems interested in forming new coalitions it seems at the moment.

I think that if they are moving around this much it means that they are not expecting a reunion with their wounded member anymore. Though they may still end up circling back and end up meeting later.

They are nomads, everywhere they go they are in someone elses territory.

This guys are mostly in Gijimas and Ndhzengas territory, but they also visited western sector in the past.

@Tr1x24 yes but some areas are less dangerous. Londolozi for instance is mostly free as Ndhzengas spend most of their time in Mala Mala.

Big part of Londolozi is under Ndhzegas core territory, dont think they spend any more time in MalaMala.

Their and Kambulas core territory is around Sand Rver, which separates Londolozi and MalaMala.

Young Kambulas where already been chased by Ndhzengas and Gijimas few times, so its normal that they explore new areas.

They seemed to settle in southern reaches of Sabi Sand recently, but looks like recent clash with Gijimas spook them and they left the area.

Which might a problem for K3 injured male,he will have hard time to find them.
