Either way, it's fascinating that the Black Dam Males seem to be going after the N'Was over Mohawk.

This is K6 infertile female, she is known for mating with every male in the neigbouring area.

This doesnt mean that BD's will go for Kambulas, as she is known to go outside her male coalition territory to seek other males to mate with (she is always in estrus, so she seeks more males).

When she was with Bboys, she also did the same, seen mating with N.Avocas, OM and Ndhzengas.

Although this behavior could attract other males to follow her and attract them to her territory, which could lead to conflict (she did that with OM).

Gijima males vs Kambula breakaway

"The Kambula Breakaways have been trespassing in the Gijima males’ territory for the past few weeks. They have gone unnoticed as the Gijima males have been distracted by the Styx Pride and spending a lot of time with the Southern Pride. This was until the Kambula Breakaways followed a large herd of buffalo straight to where the Gijima males were. There were no witnesses to the confrontation, however the Gijimas were seen chasing after the Kambulas and roaring up a storm. We tracked down the Kambula Breakaways the next morning where three males and one female were found all with minor scratches. There was no sign of the fourth male."

Damn I hope the forth male is fine, it'd be a huge blow to such promising coalition.

These Gijimas don't mess around.

Same thing happened after Ndhzenga chase earlier this year, 1 got separated, reunited after few days/week.

Both times 1 of the bigger boys, K3 or K4.

Might be that 1 of them is more "loose" in personality, as for few times already we saw that 1 male is not there.

3 older ones are triplets right? And the youngest male and female are littermates?

Well, its believed that these 3 older are littermates, although, while K3 and K4 are very similar and pretty much twins, K4 is not exactly similar to them in appearence, he has very different face and body , he is most distinguishable of the 4, so he maybe isnt their littermate afterall.

Yes, K6 male and young female are littermates, they are the only ones to be born in 2019.

Kambula female 4- mother of the 3 male subadults born in 2018
Kambula female 5- mother of the youngest male and youngest female born in 2019

These are from my notes

Has there been any clarity on which lionesses died? Are K4 and her five boys still alive?

I have not seen any sightings of K4 since the reports of losses.   I don’t know much new about any of the cubs.   Been hard to track them all.
