Its the February report. It will take another month for those to catch up to current event.
It'd be amazing news if there's no dead Kambulas or at least no bigger threat with some contamination or whatever. Let's wait and see.

Not to be a debbie downer but im pretty confident there are at least two dead. Theres a minimum of one (seen carriwd by Hyena) I have heard a second person tell me of three. ID cards of 11 of the Kambulas were provided to a contact on the ground. For those keeping track, here is what I’ve been using based on all reports and sightings I’ve been able to collate.
I think the following have been accounted: - Kambula Sub Adult Group of 4M and 1F - seen in Sabi Sabi, presumed to be Safe - Kambula Breakaways of K3 and 2F Subs - conflicting reports. some said accounted for, but later brought into doubts; there is a sighting reported to be of the 2 Gijimas following K3. No mention of her Sub Adults. - Kambula 2 (formerly part of the breakaways) - also conflicting reports. First said to be looking for den sites. Then later brought into doubts. Kambula Core: - K1 - seen w at least 5 cubs accounted for today - K4 - unaccounted for - K5 - seen at same sighting as K1 - K6 - unaccounted for - KYFs 2/2 daughters of K1 - seen w their mother and cubs (above) - KYFs 2/2 daughters of K2 - unaccounted for - KYF daughter of K3 - unaccounted for If anyone has more information, please share. There was a post about 8 or 10 days ago of 2 or 3 of the lionesses and like a dozen cubs on a bridge. I think that's the really sad part here. There were reports they were close to 2 dozen cubs, and more on the way.
Also video today of K3 with the Gijima males on the twitters in Umkumbe. Are the Gijimas on the move toward N'Was again?

Southern Umkumbe is sort of border, eastern and northern Umkumbe is considered Ndhzengas territory. Gijimas are seen with Kambula which Ndhzengas dont control. One rumor was that dead lion was found in Umkumbe, around the same time Gijimas show up there. Regardless, so basically only confirmed news is that 1 female was ill and she died. Idk, but these unconfirmed rumors that 2 more females died are just that, rumors.." i heard this i heard that ". Is there any actual source or evidence for that? But I am quite concerned that there’s at least three dead lions. That number has been consistent among several conversations I’ve seen. Yes, I accounted for her in my post above…..her two daughters however are a concern. The earliest rumors were said to have been that the Hyena was carrying the leg of a ‘maybe a young lioness’. Matty (the photographer) himself characterized it as such. So it’s a bit concerning. 
That would be said but it is not like they had a bright future ahead of them that was abruptly torn apart. It is natural to root for underdogs, but they are underdogs for a reason and more often than not it is not gonna be a happy ending (what is in the wild again). And if males were involved, it is that something that was bound to likely happen, might have actually happened. Certainly better option than some (albeit locally limited) outbreak of something (anthrax for example, one thing that was not mentioned afaik, it is not that long ago that it finished the Orpen male and the location had to be closed off, with no further outbreak luckily). Seems like concurrent cases of death of few indivuals that might just happen in roughly same time, if it is all true in first place. No animal apart those few speculated to be dead seems to be harmed in any way so far, luckily, so it might be just a coincidence and different causes/culprits.
