There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

In Colombia there are areas where they are still protected, these are the areas where I'm the most curious to see that rates of predation by jaguars. This is the only documentary that I know of which features wild horses in the Colombian Llanos (min 22:56)

The narrator claims in the documentary that the horses live in constant alert for big cat attacks.

As for feral hog, here is a clip of Totin female from Aurora chasing some hogs into the forest, you can see how big those hogs are compared to her:

The Llanos is full of large prey for them.
Very good video, I really don't know their numbers in Venezuela and Colombia, in Venezuela they are breeding them in Estado Guarico to preserve them because their numbers are not as good as before.

Diogo Lucatelli:

''Fantasma (Ghost). An old and huge male jaguar that reigned in a large area of the Caiman Ecological Refuge during 2012 and 2013. He is certainly dead by now, this animal left us the memories of very special encounters with a magnificent and relaxed cat.''

"This adult male Jaguar (Panthera onca) had just captured this Yacare Caiman (Caiman yacare), killed it, and was trying to get up the riverbank into the jungle for some privacy while eating. This Caiman is estimated at about 6 feet long & 100 Lbs! Photo taken along the Cuiaba River, not far from Porto Jofre in the Pantanal region of Mato Grosso state, Brazil, on 29-Sep-2016."
