There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. If new males come in who are already 5-6 year old, the majingalanes would either abandon ship without any resistance or one might get killed in the confrontation. The majingalanes won't stick around, the sons though would probably try to stay with the pride. There could be a week or two at minimum time difference between the new males defeating the majingalanes and the new males expelling the sons from the prides. The new males would initially target only the majingalanes, the prides and any majingalane offspring would be secondary targets. Unless the sons take it upon themselves to run off with the majingalanes or get involved with the takeover itself, I don't see it happening.

What Sik says.

And to add to that, even if a takeoever happens, they don't get out of the area in one day, neither the former dominant males expelled or the or the young males, they tend to stick around for some time in the area they know.

But especulating with the unusual scenario is a waste Chris, you need to think generally and then you can expect the most likely thing to happen.

That's the first picture of GM which shows his true age, his physical condition will have you believe he is just 8-9.

Looks like Othawa boy might have been expelled, he might be the one seen by MalaMala
Also I saw a pic of him at Ulusaba, not sure where he is..
Hope he will find a coalition partner..
Matshapiri fits the bill !!

I seriously hope the matshpiri male doesn't miss this opportunity, skoro would be even better since he already has been through the process with sizanani. If he doesn't then soon he is gonna get in trouble just like skoro did with the avocas.

Also Mhangenis are also spending time themselves away from adults and often split in last couple of weeks.
There is a chance that Othawa sub-adult can get in contact with them. Hope they form a good friendship.
