They're 12 years old, going to be 13. Scar nose and Golden mane may be closer to 12 than 13, but they are certainly that age.

They were born in 2005.

Thanks guys for the response and thanks for correcting me with their age. Scarnose should be really careful on his lover conquest. By himself in a highly contested territory.

Quick question guys, well two questions. If the majingis crossed path with the young tsalala males, will they recognize each other and not chased each or even if they recognize each other they will chased each other?

has anyone documented that a lion coalition ousted their own fathers? I read notch was bullied by his sons but they were on the same coalition.

Cheers!

It's up for debate if they recognize each other but they will treat them as total strangers. Something like this happened very recently when the four mahngeni females killed the original tailless lioness, the same lioness that had broken away from the tsalala pride to raise them by herself when the majingalane males took over northern sabi sands in 2010. The tsalala males and majingalanes will be at each other's throats if a territorial dispute ever arises.

Mhangeni's had 9 growing cubs during that time and they did not allow Bibi to feed with them. (Bibi left them probably only an year ago and also frequently seeing each other)
They would have recognized their Aunt, but when it comes to dinner table for lions it's always growling and fighting.

Dark Maned Majingilane - Londolozi Reserve - August 18,2017

Majingilane male listens to some distant lion calls. In the last few weeks, Majingilanes has pushed the Avoca coalition and one Matshipiri male back west again.

Hi Fursan.

It does look to be Golden mane, but as an aswer I'll leave what Rob the Ranger said at this question here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BX9sgvSHIrz/...btheranger

MALAMALA TODAY: August 19th and 20th. Lions: Over the last 2 days we recorded 5 lion sightings which involved the Kambula pride, the Eyrefield pride and the Manyelethi male coalition. Yesterday, 2 of the Kambula lionesses spent the day at Sand Pit Crossing whilst the Manyelethi male with the scarred nose mated with another Kambula lioness on West Street Bridge (literally). Today, 4 of the Kambula lionesses were seen just south of Rattray's Camp with a Manyelethi male and a 5th lioness was mating with another male just north of Rattray's Camp. The 2 lionesses of Eyrefield pride were seen in the south.
