There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

PENCH never disappoints. Every Time I visit Pench Tiger Reserve I have got something exciting. From a Tiger with a Kill to Rat Snake's Fight. This time it was really a breathtaking. Two Male Tigers Territorial Fight. It was just 20 Feets Away. The Sudden spectacular scene was freaky. Bhavik Parikh‎

Locals say he is larger than Raiyakassa, I'll have to ID which Tiger is which from the 2 videos, but he's been deep in Raiyakassas territory since this past May and is probably the Tiger responsible for cutting Raiya up a few months back.
at 0:16 you get a view of the right profile of the one on the left..def not raiya (unknown male) and a left side view from the face of the one on the right(def bhagoda ) seems raiya is out of the picture..by now bhagoda must cover most of his turf if not all

I agree that your video seems to show Bhagoda on the far side and facing the camera when he rears up but unfortunately we don't get a good view of the other Tiger, who is said to be Raiyakassa.
Both seem to be fairly close in size although I would say Bhagoda is the larger cat of the 2, but it's hardly definitive from that angle.

You only get to see the opposite flank of the Male suspected to be Rya so it's hard to compare.
But I will definitely give Monu the benefit of the doubt until I hear other wise though, but I wonder if it's actually two different videos?
I know both are from the Turia Zone though, that is a much larger zone compared to the Khusapar zone for instance, so it's possible.

Sameer Patel One of them is a new intruder who faught with Raiyakassa last summer. Another male is yet to identiify.

If true, the other video that Monu posted could be a different encounter completely, it could be this one and he mistakenly Id'd Raiyakassa or lastly, the other male could actually be Raiyakassa.
I'm guessing its the 1st option, I say that because if you listen to the roars on the 1st video compared to the 2nd video, they don't match up. But the encounter could of lasted a lot longer than what was actually caught on video, so who knows.

The Star Male from Tipeshwar letting his two sons know that their time to leave is quickly approaching.

Ajinder Singh
TIPESHWAR...
An interesting behavior was observed today with Star male and his two male cubs.

Star male was initially leading from the front (both the cubs to some place - to a kill is our best bet). What started off as walking together soon broke into space (between them) with the cubs following him from a distance.
Star male showed who their boss was, when both the cubs meekly surrendered, by lying low to the ground.
One of the cubs often expressed discomfort (by growling) but was immediately pinned down by Star's dominance.
All this happened, before Star walked into the oblivion, leaving behind olfactory notes for the cubs to follow him.
DOV. 06-DEC-2018.

A male tiger and a young tigress size each other up in Bandhavgarh National Park... what ensued after was one hell of an incredible yet emotional experience.
Just look at the size difference between the two, and believe it or not this is one of the smaller males I have seen in Bandhavgarh. It was an incredible natural history moment, yet a very emotional one for me. A dedicated mother trying to protect her cubs from an intruder... and I’ve know the her for over 6 years, ever since she was a 4 months old cub herself. And the gash on her chest looks very deep... I hope she has recovered and the cubs are safe.
Either way, this is nature and we must let it take its course one way or the other. We should just be silent observers and story tellers.
--------------------------------
These photos are not recent, they were taken on January 5th, 2019. Things may have changed since then.
I believe the Forest Department was tending to the wounds.

The tigers identified by the local guides are: Solo Female and The Bamera Son
