There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

RIP to this S26 king, this was So unfortunate.

S26 males are now down to 2, they used to be a powerful coalition of 4 lead by the legendary Long Mane Styx. He died in 2020 I believe, and now this boy has also died.

Judging by the area he was seen, it is likely that old LubyeLubye and his 3 younger partners are the culprits, as they were also seen nearby.

Heres my summary of what I think happened: the culprits likely caught this S26 male alone and brutally injured him. His brothers later came to rescue him which explains their injuries. However, it was too late and after some more fighting, the culprits declared their victory and left. The 2 S26 remained near the their brother as he died.

Whats next for their Mpondo pride is uncertain. The 2 remaing S26 are still not that old, but if aforementioned old LubyeLubye and his partners spot the weakness, they can takeover Mpondo pride, as S26 will be outnumbered easily. Assuming if this happens, Mpondo young males will be chased out or killed. Fingers crossed that they can hold on the Mpondo pride for longer.

1/3 Young Jocks

It is safe to assume he and his brothers killed one of Mjejane as he has never been seen again since that altercation

They sired a lot of subs in Mpondo pride. I dont know the exact number. They should be near independence age since they took over this pride in 2018 from Mpondo males

Is there any evidence that this was done by S28/HP/Lubyelubye coalition?

Mathekenyane/Transport Dam males are also near by...

The transport dam males were seen a bit far from this area of course they may have moved quickly but it's kind of hard, I think this possibility can be excluded, it could have been Mathekenyane, but I still think from the number and the damage the chance of have been HP/s28/Lubyelubye, alias the s28 man had a lot of fight marks a while ago does anyone know the origin?
