There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I hope that doesnt mean that something happened to his partner Vurhami male, but its more then obivious now that they lost their territory to 5 Gomondwane males, also Vurhami male was seen losing mane in recent months.. We need to wait and see if he shows up..

Kanniedood males!

A spectacular photo for two golden males! Here’s a coalition made up of two brothers who rule a territory south of Shingwedzi along the Mozambican border with South Africa.

New cubs for Sweni Males

Speaking of Sweni Males, I really hope one of them with a snare around his neck has been removed by now.

Any ideas why so many males in their prime have disappeared from the area the Mpondos were? It seems strange... entire coalitions have vanished.

Well, its obviously that 3 Mpondos returned back around DeLaporte after lockdown, in mid 2020 and scattered DeLaportes, who fall back further north and split in 2 gruop.. But then 3T and HRM disappeared, Dreadlocks and Talamati (not sure about him) are still around Skukuza..

Then Mpondos (or just Snip Tail) tookover Nwaswitshaka pride from Big Boy Charleston in late 2020..but only Snip Tail is seen regulary out of Mpondos, dont know where are his 2 partners, i remember 1 was seen few months ago on S1.. They prob have another pride, if they are alive tho.

4 Renosterkoppies males also moved in this area around S1 /S4, so they might also been involved in disappearence of some males..

So basically all due to lion warfare? That’s crazy.

I wish the Talamati/Southern Males never wandered down there.
