Yeah i also think that, althrough 1 male looks to be older and prob too old to be sired by Jocks.. But 2 younger ones might be as they look to be born around 2014.

Other candidates might be Stolsnek males,as 2 younger s26 quite remaind me of young Jock males.

Or they might be from completely unknown males.

@Tr1x24 They all look similar to different old jocks. Old jocks ruled Kwagga pan pride and n’watamhri Pride and others they must have a few other guys out there too we will just never know of. Young jocks and jocks came from same pride so maybe also similarities would come from that if s26 are jock sons. But yeah it will take hard research to prove anything.

A lot of lion photos posted with no road or place mentioned, also I see e.g. Eastern bank male seen. Thought they have all gone. Some single older lions mating in the same area as larger coalitions.
A lot of young males prominent in the coalitions area. I get the feeling that lion dinamics are way more involved than we think. Thought dominate, kill, take over was the rule, yet a lot of single males
exist in a very crowded area such as southern Kruger. Looks like the current large males are very tolerant towards young males.

Young/nomadic males are hard to be found by dominant males, because they dont roar or scent mark, so unless dominant males bump into young males or find them on a kill, its hard for them to chase them out of their territory.

@Gerhard Eastern banks weren’t seen for ages people thought they were dead. Now the last one is teamed up with south Shishangeni and they dominate the jock and windmill pride near Afsaal. The mpondos went north and vacated the area. Well 5th mpondo died in the area.

The bigger of the 2 Vurhami boys, growing more magnificent by the day!

He has thrived while most of his brothers have fallen, a majestic cat and true survivor. His remaining brother is carrying and injury, let's hope he recovers and these 2 males go from strength to strength!
