There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

The white lions of the Birmingham pride near Orpen gate!
We came across this amazing sighting of the white lions right next to the orpen gate. They made a kill right next to the gate at night I'm assuming and keeping an eye on the hyenas which were on the opposite side. There was a total of 4 lions. The other 2 (regular ones) were somewhere lying in the bush when I took this shot.

The first and last lioness have those swollen elbows or lump around that joint. This is a great example of how common this is in cats, and not always TB.

The last lioness is the oldest Birmingham lioness. Who knows.

Yes, elbow hygroma is pretty common in cats (domestic dogs also) and its not indicator that it has to be TB..Simple injury around that area will cause hygroma.

There was discussion here that Mohawk Avoca has TB because of his swollen elbows, but i dont think that necessarily has to be, Mohawk has that for atleast 1.5 yrs, and his condition is still top notch (his condition even improved in that period, he got more muscular and bulkier in 2020-21).

Casper has nothing on this guy if he makes it to adulthood. Let's face it, white or not, Casper isn't winning any prizes in the smart stakes. Not that it matters a jot in their actual lives, of course.

This guy always seems to be a lot cleaner than Casper.  Casper and dirt seem to find each other.
