There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve

Tracking and finding lions most certainly was the present everyone wished for on Christmas morning. After tracking a pride of lions, we found the Kambula Breakaways - four males and one female. Finding some coverage under shade away from the blazing hot sun, they moved from one shade spot to another, minimising their movement as much as possible.

Apparently, he had another altercation with the Plains Camp males last night and that he hasn't been reunited with Nhenha yet.

They should have stuck tightly together and fought back. They might have not been in such a bad spot right now if Nhena and Nk backed each other up.  Its only a matter of time it seems until NK makes a mistake and doesn't get away in time. He just needs to make 1 small miscalculation and he's screwed. PC Boys can make many mistakes and be fine.

Interesting that he is still in the west so I think he'll eventually reunite with Nhenha and then we'll see if he hunts for him or abandons Nhenha after realizing he can't keep it.

You're right bro. NYM seems not to be committed to fight just yet.

Is that one of the lionesses that was with the Mbiris? This is a grouping that sure seems to have come out of left field. Not sure those young males are quite ready to take on the powerful Mbiri Boys.

Sadly, NYM has had such a tough challenging life to this point, one of the primary reasons for his perpetually underdeveloped mane, He has lost no less than two coalition partners, now with a third badly injured, and has never been in a position to have a pride to call his own, so he has been forced to live a hazardous nomadic life, since leaving his natal pride, providing for himself or scavenging what he can find or steal. All of that, in my opinion has robbed him of any confidence he would have developed been differently for him so far.

A perfect example of what I am referring to would be when he snuck up on a young sleeping lioness, while wandering around with Nhenha a month or two ago, he was very cautious in his approach. I believe the closest he came to getting a pride, was when he shadowed the Manghenis, who were still protecting Othawa Male's daughter at the time, so they were not accepting of his advances, and if memory serves he was still with SYM when he first began interacting with them.

It really is sad, for in my opinion NYM is a gorgeous, large framed male who would otherwise have had a lot to offer a pride.
