There has been very little info and reports of the Torchwood young male and that's a little scary.

Torchwood pride core territorry is in the region from which there are no updates, so it is no suprise there are not much updates on that male. Most likely he is just enjoying life with a natal pride.

Thats not necessarily a good thing, especially with the Four ways Pride Males taking over their core pride. He is not very safe. Having no updates on lions can be quite frustrating like how the Nharu suddenly came back as 3 instead of 5 and the Mbiri as 3 instead of 5 with the 1 Nharu. It can be quite scary especially since the Boy is very close to sexual maturity and will have to leave his pride. I'm hoping he comes into Sabi Sand and finds his half brothers and we see him very soon.

"Thats not necessarily a good thing, especially with the Four ways Pride Males taking over their core pride. He is not very safe."

It seems that when those pride males joins Torchwood pride, then subadults from that pride with male included split up from core pride and move south into northern Mala Mala.

"Having no updates on lions can be quite frustrating like how the Nharu suddenly came back as 3 instead of 5 "

That is the way wild life works. Only strongest and most lucky male lions survive to adulthood.

"Mbiri as 3 instead of 5 with the 1 Nharu"

Mbiris did not lose any member in nomadic life. They started it as coalition of 4 (3 Mbiris and one Nharu) and they are still at that coalition number.

Well said.. I think theres very few coalitions that didnt lose any members in their nomadic life.. Just look at recent examples of Vurhamis, Muntshes, Shish males etc..

Nomadic life of young males is very taught, numbers do help, but even then it not guarantee that all will survive, most males lost their lives in that period to dominant males or on hunts with lack of experience..

You guys are both just proving my point. I'm saying it's worrying getting no updates because lions can easily lose their lives and having the Torchwood young male in a very closed off area makes is more frustrating. Lions can easily die, that doesn't mean I can't give a crap about what's happening with him. Is it wrong to say we have very few updates on a lion and that can be scary?

Torchwood male is not nomadic, he is still with his natal pride and even when he leaves from time to time he is in company of his sisters. He isn't currently under threat of starving as he live with pride, nor under heavy pressure from dominant males which only part of their time spent with Torchwood pride.  He is currently in good position and from the all lions around about least you should worry about.

Great thread. Tr1x24 i really appreciate the time u take to create these.

Just a slight correction after reading the entire thing.

Nkuhuma male was the son of Nana Nkuhuma and not purple eye. Nana, who died a while back, had a litter of two... a boy and girl in late May/Early June 2016. So the Nkuhuma male is just 3 few months over 4 years old  now.

This boy is really developing fast. He is not even 4 apparently and looks like he could be 5. He will be a beast in his prime. Hoping he finds the other 2 of his brothers.
