that’s Bahu and Jaichand, Bahu was rumored to be around Tadoba and Brahmapuri forest division last year. he might have settled somewhere by now. Jaichand according to Wildlife Institute of India moved out of Umred but that makes no sense, why would a dominant male with a family just move out like that? he was supposedly under their “supervision”. and they have no explanation for his sudden disappearance.

here’s Bali from last month, pushed out the resident males of the area to rule with an iron fist. one of the most legendary bloodline from MH. they will literally relocate anywhere and rule the area.

Shamsher (great grandpa) Nagzira
Dendu (grandpa) Nagzira
Jay (father) Nagzira>Umred
Bali (himself) Umred>Pench
Bali’s sons (Dau and Balram)

jaichand's got a few cubs out there aswell no knowledge of their current whereabouts though i'll say this not to many males do what jai and his boys did both staking claim to territory pushing out resident rulers and siring offspring at a young age that's pretty impressive

indeed, Jaichand was the youngest male tiger to have a territory of his own. he was a full fledge dominant male at just 28 months old. in all of these years, I have yet to see this feat by any other male. most male tigers on average take charge at about 4-5, very few at 3-3.5 but at 2.5 years of age. that’s almost unheard of. too bad we lost such a hefty tiger to poachers.

I can never forget that face, he was a massive male tiger and in his prime. he probably would have surpassed Jai. his half brothers Bittu and Srinivasa were both tagged at 230 kilograms and he was visibly bigger than both. he also spent most time with Jai out of any male cub sired by Jai.

for me in their childhood days, as far as size goes. it was always Jaichand > Bahu > Bali > Bittu > Srinivasa.

here’s all three brothers, Bali appears first in the video. sits on the road. second cub is Jaichand and the last one to appear is Bahu.

Do you know who verified those weights?
Thanks

I’m not sure, I just went by the reported weight from this article that was published a few years back.

I'll ask Dr. Habib to confirm and see if he gets back to me.
