There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Slowly they started moving and we realized that they are looking to hunt! And then it all began! The 3 wild dogs ran through a sounder of wild pigs and piglets but they failed to hunt and all the pigs scurried away! All of a sudden 2 jackals came onto the road in the opposite direction and were surprised to see 2 wild dogs face to face.We assumed that since they are from the same canid family they would just give each other some space and move on. And we were SO wrong! The Wild dogs went into attack mode and the jackals started hunching their backs and howling/growling.And a chase happened. The jackals ran all around and the dogs kept chasing. Finally the jackals managed to get away after a small snarling match. Everything happened too fast and they kept running all around so couldnt take much pictures. And the wild dogs moved on in search of new prey. We moved ahead to let them be and drove on. We came across a lone gaur grazing and stopped to take some pictures. Within 5 minutes the Wild dogs had reached there. Gaur is a large animal and the pack was too small to hunt such a big mammal so we were sure they would just move on! And we were convinced all the more when the dogs just drank water from a puddle next to the gaur, while the gaur kept grazing. And Once again we were proved wrong. The wild dogs started to tease the gaur and sneaked in a few nips and bites. However the Gaur is too large an animal. It simply stamped the ground and shooed away the dogs with its horns.Keep your pop corn ready. This is just the interval. What happened next leads to the climax of a blockbuster we witnessed!
